Northern Shrike

The Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) was last weekend. I counted birds at my feeders early in the morning. When this shrike arrived that ended my bird watching. Suddenly every other bird had somewhere else to be. At noon I took off for Milwaukee. Saw various other birds on the trip but decided that submitting them didn't really follow the GBBC rules. So only had the morning's list to submit but I did send in a picture of the shrike.  While he isn't well liked, he is quite handsome.
