Friday

Friday afternoon and I felt in need of a cup of coffee and some intelligent conversation. I had been bereft of both for most of the week. I called up my neighbor and begged her to let me come over. "Sure, if you really want to." she said, "But I need to warn you that we are just getting over the flu here." I needed a pick-me-up badly and decided to chance it. My neighbors had already suffered w/ the symptoms for a couple of weeks and they might not have been that thrilled to have company quite yet but they pulled up a chair for me, exchanged local gossip, talked about birds, and drank coffee. Felt better when I left but did wash my hands when I got back home. Just in case.

A good dose of garlic can boost your immune system. That's my strategy when congregating with contagens. For a daily immune booster, I recommend mixing 1/2 c water, 1/2c apple cidr vinegar, 1 tsp cayenne pepper, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1-2 cloves garlic. Keep in the fridge and take 1 spoonful daily.
