Orange Hawkweed, feather, and leaves

A perfect autumn day. Sure the week before we'd had warm temps and clear sunny skies but today a cold front blew in. We reached a high temp in the morning and it fell from there. The spotty cloud's gradually thickened to a stratus layer. It was wonderful! Indy and I took off for a long walk through the woods and swamps. While the maples have peaked and lost most of their leaves, the oak, birch, and aspen have turned color and the walk was alive w/ brilliant golds, reds, and russets. A brisk cold wind in our face. Doesn't get much better than this.
