Canadian Goose

I and Indy sat on the deck last night listening to what must have been a thousand frogs singing throughout the swamp. Out checking the blue bird houses this afternoon, I noticed that the wild plum trees were in bloom so went downwind to breath in their heady scent.Found tamarack that were just turning green and ran my hand along their super soft needles. I dug out a wild leek and chomped on it's savory root. (OK, wild leek is definitely an acquired taste.) Winter feels like a time of sense deprivation compared to the vibrancy of spring.

Is wild leek that stuff you had me taste one time? It had little taste at first, but a lingering rather unpleasent one for some time after.
