Annual Town meeting today. The board had decided to reinstate having coffee and donuts for anyone who attended. Don't know if that had a calming effect on the crowd but it was a very laid-back meeting. The longest discussion was between the board and the man who farms the land surrounding the town hall site. When new building plans were discussed he asked where the town hall would be placed. That started off a verbal sparing between the two parties of just who owned the land. It still isn't settled but the idea of swapping the current town hall site w/ one next to the tree line at the edge of the field might satisfy everyone. Could still use the old town hall while building the new town hall. The farmer would eventually have a field where he only needs to work around a missing corner acre instead of an acre right in the middle of his field. Like I said - discussions go a lot easier when lubricated w/ donuts and coffee.
