The Great Backyard Bird Count starts tomorrow and goes through the holiday weekend (Feb. 17-20). I look forward to the count every year even though I find very few birds. Most birds are still south of here. It's just fun going out and looking. Rules of how to record the birds you see, the place to record your sightings, and checklists to help you identify birds can be found at www.birdcount.org. Why not give the count a try this year - I think you'll enjoy it.
