Hairy Woodpecker (Picoides villosus)

Attended Lisa the intern's wedding today. I enjoy seeing the individual touches a couple puts into their ceremony. Lisa decorated the church w/ pots of bright yellow mums. Her bridesmaids were dressed in dark blue w/ tiny yellow accents. John the groom wore a white shirt, black pants, black vest and bolo tie. The couple chose readings from the Bible concerning marriage (not love, as is common). While a young man sang, Lisa and John did a "braiding ceremony" - taking three threads symbolizing themselves and God and braided them together. However, I sensed the whole church was taken most by surprise when the recessional music started - a rousing rendition of James Brown's I Feel Good!"
