On top of the ski hill

Fall festivities in the county this weekend.  The ski hill had a number of activities.  They started up their ski lift so people could go to the top and see the changing colors.  Not peak colors yet but the vistas were well worth the ride.  You could take the ski lift back down or walk one of the ski runs.  Looking over the edge I could barely imagine walking, much less skiing, down those paths.  The ski chalet was opened up for a craft sale.  The fire department had demonstrations going on in the yard and even a telescope was set up to view sunspots and sun flares.  Will definitely plan on doing this again next year when it's "leaf peeping" time.
