Finishing a book often is a downer. Each time I start reading the book, I'm transported to that time and place. Two weeks ago I was in New Jersey w/ Stephanie Plum trying to catch bail jumpers and work around all of the nutty people in her life. Last week I was in Britain w/ Gaius Ruso at the time of Roman rule figuring out where missing tax money went. I actually miss the place and people when I turn the book back in at the library. Of course, if I've thought ahead, there is another book, another place, and another bunch of characters waiting.

I recommend being transported to Austria around 1925 via The Story of the Trapp Family Singers.
