Black Cherry

"This is Susan.  Are you coming into work today?" -   "Hi.  We are ready to start.  Where are you?" - "Wakey, Wakey, sleepy head."  -  "Get your back end out of bed and get down here."  I'm always a little puzzled just what to say when the herdsman is so late for work that I have to call him.  Usually he doesn't answer his cell phone and I leave a message.  It shouldn't bother me this much.  (So what.  He doesn't work for me.) I should be more understanding. (Someday I may be tardy.)  I should consider these opportunities to be more creative. "The cows are out and running everywhere.  Help!" - "There's a skunk in the utility room.  Be real quiet when you get here." - "Sorry you aren't answering your phone.  I'll just call the dairy owners."

Mike suggests lines such as, "It's time to get mooooving" or "It would be udderly fantastic to see you this morning". :-)

How about:
It would be cowardly not to come to work this morning.

Or, get off your "dairy-e-air", and get in to work.
