6 degrees F when we started work this morning. Am happy to see the end of February. No more below zero temps (OK, that's just my hope.) More snow is fine w/ me. Until the first flowers of May come, the landscape can be pretty bleak w/o a covering of white. These deer are probably ready for the end of winter weather. Found them coming out to the deer lick during midday: unusual behavior. They look in pretty good shape though. Maybe they found Steve & Rachel's snowshoe path and just decided to check it out.
