Winter tree

Think I broke the law today.  Don't get me wrong, I would never advocate that laws should be ignored.  However, if, in a person's mind, a law must be broken then I feel you should freely admit that you did it and be ready to take whatever consequences result.  Of course, this is a DNR law and, let's admit it, some of their laws are a bit obtuse.  I researched why the DNR made the law.  Originally it was for hunters and I could see why they enacted it.  Then it was expanded to people living in cities.  Yes, there was some logic to that.  Then it was expanded to the southern part of the state - well, it was a different reason but at lease there was some justification.  The next leap was that no one in the state could do it - just in case it might lead to trouble.  That, I felt, was a little far fetched.  I decided it was necessary to do in the current situation and did it.  There, I've admitted it.  Let the cards fall where they may.
