Ruffed Grouse

For some reason, NBC has decided they are really ESPN. This morning there was nothing on but nauseatingly dull golf. By the time I got home from church, NBC, still on their sports kick, had switched from golf to equestrian events. Now we're talking. Here are events that don't have male and female teams, pro and master leagues. Everyone competes together - your age and gender are irrelevant. Events vary from the western saddle, cowboy attired, exciting Reining to the eastern saddle, formal wear, beautiful Dressage. Other events include cross-country races, jumping, driving wagon teams, and even vaulting off the back of a cantering horse. Tonight, NBC is back to broadcasting ho-hum football. If they feel they have to air sports, wish they would do more events like the equestrian games. Maybe elephant polo, highland games, sky diving, rock climbing, cat wrangling...
