Harvestman

Attended the first day of the state fair. We arrive at 6 a.m. when the gates open and park on the grounds. We decided to have breakfast at the Swedish Lutheran Diner on the fair grounds (Brent had gone on-line and found it was the "most popular" place for breakfast at the Fair.) It certainly was since there was a line when we got there. We got in and were seated on benches across the table from a mother and daughter. The daughter told me it was her mother's 57th consecutive year at the fair. Wow. "I'm 90 years old," the mother told me. Double Wow. They had already finished their breakfast so got up to leave, the 90 year old mother easily standing and swinging her legs over the bench. Just before 3 p.m., as we hurried to the Horticulture building to catch a talk on mycology, we passed and said "Hi" again to the 90 year old and her daughter as they casually walked toward the dairy building. Oh that we can still be enjoying the fair like that when we are 90!
