My brother made me a stand for my bathroom. At the bottom is a space for the hamper to slide in. Above, is a slatted shelf for towels. The top is a place for guests to leave their stuff so it isn't in the way on the vanity. He left some open spaces on top for stained glass so I can make different panels for each season. Rope lighting underneath makes the panels glow so they act at the same time as a night light. It is a thing of beauty in craftsmanship, in functionality, and to just plain look at.

Bathroom stand

I am extremely jealous of this piece! I love furniture that is multi-purpose. I wish everyone thought about that when making furniture. Must be why I have such a hard time finding items like end tables. :-)
