Town Chairman Steve

The town where I live is 125 this year.  Town Chairman Steve wanted a little celebration after the Town's Annual Meeting tonight.  Annual Meetings  are so anyone who wants to ask questions of the Town Board or bring up something they think the Board should consider can talk.  No need to be put on the agenda like at the monthly town board meetings.   A lot of talk about roads.  I sat wondering if roads and elections were the only things that got our residents worked up.  Neighbor Anita was there w/ a signup for people  interested in becoming part of the village's garbage pickup.  The village just began their own service so it's only advisory at this point.  Afterwards, we had beverages and goodies, pictures from the early days of the town playing on a large computer screen, and a quiz about the town (answers on the town website).   Maybe we should have this after each annual meeting - might get people to look forward to attending the annual meeting every year.
