Spices on a Spoon jigsaw puzzle
I rarely use salt when cooking. That concession was made long ago when my blood pressure went high. Not really much of a sacrifice though. I use a variety of spices instead: nutmeg in the cheese souffle, paprika on mashed potatoes, fines herbs in an omelet. Sometimes that works really well. Sometimes most of the dish winds up in the dog's bowl. (Taste is one of the senses where humans have many more receptors than dogs.) When I was looking for jigsaw puzzles to cache for the winter, I found this one. Recognized cardamom, sumac, cumin, flaxseed, anise, bay leaf, parsley, pepper, etc. so I bought it and put it on the puzzle shelf until now. It was fun but a bit of a challenge to put together. Unfortunately it was missing a piece. Suppose the piece could have been lost here - I do have two cats and a dog - but of the six puzzles I've assembled this season, this is the first one to have any pieces missing. Not the end of the world. I had the enjoyment of putting it together. Only, instead of passing it on for someone else to assemble, it will be used as fire starter.

Hi....this looks like it would take forever...how long did it take? I do an online jigsaw every day, but only takes about 45 minutes.
Took a week.
