Barn Quilt

 Excerpts from the Sheriff's Report:

3:19 a.m. - Caller believes a man shot himself and has a small boy with him.  Caller on phone rambled about spiritual realm telling her this.  Address she provided does not exist in county.  Dispatch determined that caller was talking about voices in her head.  Officers responded to caller's residence.  They did not observe anything that made them believe someone had shot themselves.

8:30 a.m. - Patient at emergency room needs a ride home.  Transit companies do not help people up steps.  Chaplain does not give rides home anymore.  Dispatch contacted ARDC.  They will call ER to offer assistance.

8:55 a.m. - Granddaughter stole vehicle.  Did not have permission to drive it.  Wants to press charges for vehicle theft.  Vehicle in question was impounded by police in another county.

11:35 a.m. - Caller reports they were unable to make contact with neighbor regarding water dripping into their apartment.  They called landlord.  Landlord advised caller to contact law enforcement to contact neighbor to get them to shut off the drip.  Officer spoke with both tenants and determined that the landlord needs to come to the site and deal with the problem.

1:10 p.m. - Caller requesting to speak with a game warden regarding a deer with holes that has been located in the field.  Information turned over to DNR.

2:43 p.m. - High/Middle School staff were informed of pictures on a cell phone of a student in her underwear.  Reporting students felt this was inappropriate.  The students involved were spoken to and they did not believe sending these pictures was wrong.  Both students were counseled by staff, parents notified, one student suspended.

4:54 p.m. - Caller wanting check welfare on a male individual.  Advises she thinks his wife has blocked the whole family.  Deputy made contact with male who stated everything is OK.  He doesn't want contact with caller.  They are blocked by his choice.

5:11 p.m. - Vehicle lost equipment.  Ice fishing tent caught wind and pulled everything out of the bed of the truck.  Driver states he didn't have straps and the tailgate had to be down to hold everything.  Driver warned for unsecured load and advised to go slow.

7:14 p.m. - Complainant reports an individual who is on a no-drink order is currently drinking on a TikTok livestream.  Officer went to residence.  Nobody came to door.  Will forward complaint to the individual's probation officer.

8:36 p.m. - Complainant reports people walking around his trailer and several people are on his roof.  The people on the roof told him they are going to break the doors down and take him to prison.  Deputy checked the area.  No suspicious activity observed.  Attempted contact with reporting party who refused to come to his door.
