Ian and Vivian are engaged

All day it was very foggy - kind of in keeping for the week between Christmas and New Years.   Sister Connie suggested it's a good time to start thinking up resolutions for the New Year.  (She said she has a head start since she plans on reusing some from other years).   Other people I talked to said they use this time to binge watch TV shows or see movies.  During this week, I'm eating up left overs from the Christmas Eve feast.   I'm putting away at least some of the Christmas decorations - others will remain as part of my 'winter' decor.  Plus it's a great time to play w/ things the I got for Christmas.  Today I got out the 'ball chucker' (which technically was one of Whip's gifts).  It looks like a musket where you can wedge a tennis ball into the barrel and shoot it off for the dog to retrieve.  Whip was ecstatic!  So much so that once she ran after the ball she immediately came back to me to see if I'd 'chuck' another one for her.  Tried to explain to her she can't just chase the ball but has to bring it back.  Funny, didn't think I'd have to teach a Labrador Retriever to retrieve.
