Barn Quilt

Overnight the snowstorm turned into a rainstorm.  Good because it knocked down the snow depth by half.  In the morning the weatherman said we'd already reached our high temp for the day and by noon the rainstorm would turn back into a snowstorm.  No plow guy yet.  Decided my best course of action was to put ruts in the snow on the driveway.  Six inches of snow is driveable so I put on my hiking boots, threw a shovel in the back of the car, and carefully drove into town.  Went into the coffee shop to pick up a latte.  Lots of guys gathered around the tables including the Town Chairman.  I offered to buy him a coffee but he said he was good.  Shoot - thought this would be a cheap quick way to get out of owing him.  Drove home and made sure I drove close but not in the same ruts in the snow I made on the way out.  The rest of the morning the ruts slowly widened as the snow melted.  As predicted though by noon the snowstorm was back.  The blowing snow has filled in my ruts a little but I think I'll be able to get out tomorrow.
