White Pine On a Foggy Day
I've read in multiple places of the Navajo belief that only God is perfect so they leave a small imperfection in anything they create. Thought about that as I was cleaning the house this morning and I saw the Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas cactus had shed a spent blossom. I left it - as either an homage to Navajo ideals or to see if the robot sweeper would get it. As you can tell my philosophy of cleaning isn't overly stringent. Basically it's that 1/3 of the flat surfaces in a room should be left empty. (Note that doesn't mean stuff can be piled up on the other 2/3rds.) I clean until the open flat surfaces are shiny, the rest have something on them, and then keep the lights low.
