Oriole Nest in a Birch

Neighbor Anita called this morning and asked if I was going out and about today.  "Yes,"  I said, "I'm picking up groceries around 1 p.m."  "Stop by here first." she said.  I walked into their home at the appointed time and Anita did a two handed wave like a TV model showing off the car the contestant just won.   Looked over where she was gestering and there was one of the raffle baskets from last Saturday's Christmas in the Village.  Better than that there were TWO baskets.  I remember going to bed on Saturday night figuring once again I hadn't won anything.  Technically, Anita won both baskets but we had decided before hand that anything we won we would split.  Anita and I did a little hair pulling and b*** slapping over who got what stuff but we finally came to an agreement.  (Actually, it was a very amicable split.)  So, I won some cool things, got a basket (I'd donated the last one I had to the raffle), and will try to remember next raffle to just give all my tickets to Anita.
