First Snowfall
Halloween was our first snowfall. Think I might have felt snowflakes during one constitutional last week but it was too dark to tell for sure. Typically the first snow doesn't stick around long since the ground hasn't yet frozen and is relatively warm. However, this snow is still here because the air temp has been cold enough to keep it from melting. Even Gorgeous Gorge has a skin of thin ice. A bit early in the season for snow on the ground. Dosn't usually occur for another three weeks - when deer hunting season is on. The time period between when the last colorful leaves fall to when the landscape is blanketed in clean white snow isn't the most beautiful. I'm more than OK if we skip over it this year.
