Bluebird

I redecorate the house for each season but I don't use all of the same stuff each time.  Today I pulled out everything remaining in the window seat box where I store Autumn things.  Down at the bottom were collected plastic orange berries that had fallen off decorations, colorful fabric leaves that also had been separated from their branches, orange and yellow fake flowers, nuts and seed pods used once in potpourri, and two small rubber snakes.  Put them all in a bag that I turned over to the librarian.  You see someone had donated a box of ornamental and warted gourds.   The Friends of the Library are planning a craft party where they decorate the gourds w/ little colorful bric-a-brac and sell them to earn money for things the library needs.   My colorful bits and pieces would add to their supply of materials.  -or- Maybe I should suggest to the librarian that the Friends have access to the library's Legos.  The Lego club met this week and were asked to make something with a Halloween theme.  The sharks (which had caused many children to break apart little Lego people for their diaramas) had been removed.  Still one child fashioned a Lego box and filled it with the heads of Lego people that they had popped off leaving lots of headless Lego people.  A guord covered w/  body parts might be a good seller for Halloween.
