Cherry Quartz

I especially look in the morning for hummers at the feeders.  Saw something flit past quickly and thought it might be one and there was a bird sitting just on the opposite side of a feeder.  Went in for a closeer look.  Not hummers but wrens!  I don't usually see wrens here.  Think they prefer areas w/ more trees.  Assume these were bunching up for a migration south or already on thier migration from further north.  A couple of little errands to do today.  Sheila opted to take Whip for a walk.  I and Phil went into the village and I dropped him off at the Historical Society.  His earlier visit to Brother-in-Law Dan had him wondering about when our grandfather had stopped lumberjacking and started a meat market.  I checked my post office box, mailed a card to a cousin, and took off for the County Seat.  All of the parking spots around the court house were full but I knew that on the other side of the building there were some 15 minute spots.  There was parking there and I bopped upstairs to the Health and Human Resources area.  Had called yesterday and they said they would put a dozen deterra drug pouches aside for me.  They gave me a box full.  Drove back to the village and dropped the drug pouches off w/ the librarian.  I'd given out the last one we had last Thursday and the librarian didn't have the time to get more.  Also dropped off some books for the next book sale.  Walked over to the historical society where the two people manning the building today were busy finding things for Phil to look at.  As is often the case, Phil had found out some information which had led do even more questions.  We stopped by Gateway Gourmet so Phil could get a slice of lemon poppyseed bread and arrived home at about the same time as Shila got back w/ Whip.  This afternoon Whip and I were out on the deck listening to a mystery novel.   Whip took off for the tall grass.   Whistled multiple times for Whip to come but she ignored me.  Remembered Sheila said she yells "YouuuWhooo" to get the dog back on the walk so gave that a try.  Stupid dog trotted down the trail right to me!
