Black-eyed Susans (as I said before, they are hazel)

It's been a good birthday.   When I and the dog came back from the morning constitutional there was a banner hanging over the front door wishing me a "Happy Birthday".  Sheila had hung it the night before but I'm not as alert before the walk as I am afterward.  Made an angel food cake.  I frosted it in pink (No, I'm not channeling Barbi) and decorated it w/ blackberries and raspberries that Sheila picked and strawberries.   I received gift cards to Gateway Gourmet so am set for latte's til autumn.  Picked a 'bouquet' of daylilies in purples, pinks, and white.  Found a German speaking serial streaming on PBS.  It will become one of my winter projects to watch an hour each day in an effort to learn German.   Only wish it were a more exciting storyline.  The plumber left me a message that the water heater in Mjolnir is under warrenty and it should be here next week.  Tonight there was a Patrick Swayze movie on.  Life is good.
