The Northwoods smells of ripening grasses and milkweed in bloom. The temps these last few days reach the 70's w/ a nice breeze. The nights are clear and very cool. I woke up a little before sunrise yesterday and the Morning Chorus was at full volume. Think it's because the parents are now joined by the fledglings. The meadow is full of puple bergomet, white daisies, and yellow Great St. John's Wort in bloom. We had an inch of rain. Big plus, the ticks seem to have finally retreated. If God took vacations - this is where she'd come.
