Snowblasted windows

No - not kidding.   We got 15" of snow overnight.  This is how the windows looked before sunrise this morning.  ( The darker area is the drift on the deck).  Didn't try to go on a constitutional since it would have meant trudging through one snow drift after another.  Also, we couldn't make it out the front door.  Opened up the garage door so Whip and I could hug the edge of the house where the wind had whipped free of snow and filled up the bird feeders.  Then got out the crockpot and made a batch of chili.   The sun came out and the crust fell off the windows but I wondered if it would melt fast enough so I could get out on Tuesday morning for the election.  Neither I nor the dog heard the plow guy came through sometime in the afternoon.  He didn't do a nice cleanup job like he usually does.  Instead it was a swipe in and out.  First, we are due for warmer weather and he probably figures the sun will widen the path naturally over the next couple of days.  Second, there is no place to put the extra snow he plowed..  The mountain of snow outside the front door is now taller than me.
