Hutch
This hutch was made by brother Brent. He wanted to design his own hutch instead of following a plan from a woodworking magazine. The bottom half was started in the 1990's while he lived in Minneapolis. Cousin Gene Domsten helped him draw his plans on an Auto-Cad and print them out on a large pattern printer. Then in 2004/2005 he made the top half of the hutch. Cousin Paul Domsten helped w/ some of the assembling, gluing, and then moving the piece out of his workshop in the basement up to his diningroom. The entire piece is out of oak. He decided after awhile it was just too big for the space he had it in. He sold it to me and brought it over to Haven where it sits in my diningroom. Brent's only concern is that if I insist on calling it an 'heirloom' it makes him sound old.

This is a beautiful, beautiful piece!
I have a floor lamp that brother Brent made for me many years ago. We still use it every day!

Big question - Did Brent sign/engrave his name and the date on the piece so other family members will always know who made the 'heirloom'?
