Gorgeous Gorge - February

Right after breakfast I drove to the County Seat to pick up a new phone.  I thought it might be as easy as taking a memory card out of one phone and putting it in another but it isn't.  First the clerk wanted to know my password.  Didn't know I had one.  Did have a four digit number that I was told never to forget when I bought the first one but he didn't want it.  He just assigned me a new password.  He put the phone on the counter and pressed some buttons on his laptop.  Suddenly my phone sprang to life.  I asked what he'd done.  He said he didn't know - just pressed some buttons on his laptop.  Not an answer to inspire confidence.   He needed to see some ID.  He then said I was in the system and pre-approved for Verizon Internet service.  That seemed odd until we realized those records still had me living in the Big City.  He had me pick out the new phone's color - black, blue, white, or lavender.  Blue isn't a fav color, white isn't either.  Lavender was pretty but a little out there.  Picked out the black one.  The clerk looked surprised and said he thought I'd pick out the lavender one.  TMy old phone that was black and was hard to see in some circumstances so changed my mind and said I'd take the lavender.  (I'm a sucker for clerk suggestions.)   While he transferred my data to the new phone I looked around the store.  They had watches for sale and I asked him about them. He said they were useful in tracking where you were, checking your pressure, sending out an alert to 911 if you fell or were in a car accident.  He always wore his while deer hunting.  Might be a useful gadget to consider.  Finally walked out of the store an hour and a half after walking in.

They are really cool. I've had a Garmin for a couple years now. Dawn liked it well enough to switch to Garmin from Fitbit.
