Grandpa's Meat Market

OK, this isn't a picture of my grandfather and the picture (going by the year of the car) was taken after he had already sold the business and moved outside of town to become a farmer.  However, it does identify which building it was and that's more than any of us knew for sure.  The building is still located on the village main street.  Grandpa and Grandma lived above the store for a few years before moving out to the farm.  Evelyn, Brent, Phil, and I visited the village historical society where they had a display of various business facades over time.  Brent and Phil started going through old newspapers and I wondered if we would ever pry them loose from those volumes.  Mrs. Newman, one of the society members on duty that morning,  came over to me and confidentually whispered, "We deliver".  I didn't understand but she just laughed.  "If you want to leave, we'll give them a ride to your place when we close up."  she explained.
