Watcher on the Hill

Once a week I check in on Yggdrasil.  That's what I'm calling the little white spruce that did service as my Christmas tree and is now just waiting for the snow to melt, the ground to unfreeze before it is finally planted.   It seems to be doing OK - I make sure it's getting sunlight through the windows in Mjolnir and water it until water drips out of the holes in the bottom of the bucket.   Then I go over to Sleipnir and quickly run a watering can over all of the flowers being overwintered there.  They are doing well in there - even the Martha Washington geraniums which I haven't successfully overwintered before.  The chives and parsley that I almost threw out last fall are still alive too.  Especially the parsley.  Think for lunch tomorrow I'll look up how to make parsley potatoes.
