A Clear Winter's Day

It's so nice to only have to change the oil in the car twice a year.  Made an appointment and drove to Collegetown to get it done.  It turned out to be a good time of day/month to have it done 'cause I got in immediately.   I was asked if I had any coupons for the oil change.  I replied I didn't and they automatically gave me a discount off the bill.  I was about to settle into the waiting room when I saw there were cars in the display area.  There hadn't been any six months ago.  Maybe the shortage had eased up.  Well, not really.  There were only three cars - all used (excuse me, 'preowned') - all already sold.  My car was ready in a little over half an hour and I asked the person checking me out when they expected new cars again.  She just said any orders now weren't expected to be delivered until April.  While it's never a good time to hit a deer, I'll be driving even more circumspectly at dusk and dawn for awhile.
