This time it was my neighbor Anita looking out for me. I went over for coffee before Christmas and she told me to call the local telephone company on Monday and request internet service. The fiber optic line had been laid underground up to my house earlier in the year so the install would be all inside work. I did as Anita suggested and the receptionist said she had been expecting my call and would the Tuesday morning after Christmas be OK w/ me. Great! John the installer stopped by today and I showed him to the utility room and my study. Back in 2005 when I had satellite internet access installed I thought it would take off. Instead satellite service languished w/ slower speeds, issues w/ weather, and data limitations. (Elon Musk's new system might have recently solved some of these issues.) The man who had installed my satellite system had brought the wire through the utility room and along the baseboards on one side of the study. John wasn't happy w/ this setup and instead hung my router on the wall in the utility room. Now it's off my desk, out of sight, and I can pull up the old satellite wiring. It's only one day so far but I'm very satisfied w/ this system - it's slightly less costly than my old system, super fast, unlimited data, and if I'm ever unhappy w/ their service I'll just let Anita know.

You've waited a long time to get off the satellite service. Are you going to try some streaming channels?
Pretty dishes!

Yay! Glad to hear it's in. Rickey is getting hers tomorrow. You really should try some streaming since you're saving money on the basic service. Just sayiin'. Anita
