Christmas Tree

 

I wanted a live Christmas tree.  Last year I looked around but no one was selling them this time of year.  So when neighbor Anita and I went plant shopping in the spring, I picked up a live tree and it spent the summer on the deck.  I really like this little white spruce.  I pulled a rather large plastic bag up over it's pot and set it on a small stool.  The stool made it sit too high so I covered the pot w/ wrapping paper.  Had some small red balls and plastic icicles and bought a canister of silver bells.  The cats love it.  They can paw at the bell ornaments to make a sound and if they successfully dislodge one, I like that it doesn't break.  My angel topper is sized for a taller tree but on the other hand I can see her now.  For my first effort using a live tree I kinda like it.  After the holiday, this tree will go back out to Mjolnir  and I'll plant it in the spring.  Already looking forward to getting another tree for next Christmas.
