Wasp Nest

Called the garbage pickup company.  Got the bill and once again it had gone up by a few bucks.  Usually the amount is the same every quarter but lately each bill had been rising.  This happened  once before w/ this company.  That time I'd called and the person on the help desk had replied, "How much do you want to pay?"  She then set my bill back to what I had been paying before.  This time the help desk person talked about the rising cost of gas and that the bill would go down eventually.  I replied that I knew it wouldn't be going down and I wanted to cancel service.  She said maybe there were some 'deals' being offered in my area and then cut the bill back to what I had originally been paying.  I haven't figured out their billing philosophy.  Of course, in a rural area they don't have much competition so maybe ticking off your customers periodically is an acceptable way of doing business.
