Partial Lunar Eclipse

Woke up to my alarm at 2:45 a.m.  Was a little surprised to find both cats were on my bed leaching heat.  Had the camera ready to go and had laid out my clothes, gloves, hat, and vest nearby.  Whip wanted to go out too.  A black dog at night?   Figured it was cold enough that she would stick near me.  Thankfully the high winds from yesterday had blown the clouds off and the night was calm and clear.  Even though it was below freezing it didn't feel all that bad.  The eclipse was playing out just over the house.  Pretty neat.  I got some pics in before Whip set off the motion detector lights on the out-buildings.  Could have continued shooting on the opposite side of the house but my pictures weren't getting any better and the cold was beginning to seep in between my layers of clothing.  Whip happily came inside w/ me and was snoring in her bed before I got everything put away.  For the cats it was playtime but when they saw me heading back to bed they followed.  I was a little hyped by the eclipse and cold so figured it would take awhile to fall asleep again.   The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis was on TV.  I was out before the end of the episode.
