Back in August got an e-mail directed to election officials. There had been threats made against poll workers because of the false claims of fraud in the 2020 presidential election. The state election board just wanted election workers to be mindful of the threat and let us know where to report any specific concern regarding elections or their personnal. The e-mail also asked that it not be shared w/ media or general populations but since there have been news items about it since then, I don't know why that applies anymore. It's true that when you walk into vote in this town there are three typical 'white haired ladies' running the election and you might think they are vulnerable. However, we're all locals meaning we are related to or know everyone in the area. Plus each of us packs our own canister of bear spray. Heaven forbid if we ever felt threatened during an election. Would have to conduct the rest of the vote in the parking lot while the town hall aired out.
