Lilacs in Autumn

My lilacs are hormonal.  Was surprised to see blooms on one bush today and some of the others look like they might bloom also.  It's probably because we've had unseasonably warm weather for a couple of weeks w/ cool nights.  We just went through the Autumnal Equinox which is the same amount of daylight as the Vernal Equinox.  Pretty sure the lilacs are just confused and think it's spring.   It wasn't a great year for lilac blooms this spring and w/ them blooming now, it might not be that great next year either.  Will have to watch and see if this is just a one year fluke or if it's a sign that climate change has come to the Northwoods.
