Autumn Color

A few missteps this weekend.  Once the fog had lifted Saturday afternoon  I washed my sheets and hung them out on the clothesline to dry.  They would only need an hour to dry.  I had no sooner gone back into the house when I heard a sort of 'white noise.   It was pouring rain.  Didn't rain long but enough to give my sheets a good second rinse but without the spin-dry cycle so I had to finish drying them in the machine.  Around noon today I was a little cabin-happy so decided to take a quick trip to the County Seat just to pick up a latte plus stop to pick up mail.  Whip jumped up in the car to go with.  We stopped at McD's and I ordered a cheeseburger for her and a latte for me.  Must have hit the drive-thru at a bad time because quite a line built up.  When I got to the window they gave me the cheeseburger but asked if I'd pull into a spot and they would bring the latte out to me.  Whip devoured her cheeseburger.  I listened to an audio book.  However after 10 minutes the line of cars was gone, Whip was drooling on my shoulder, and I figured I'd waited long enough.  I was going in to ask for the cost of the latte returned but was met at the door by a harried looking manager.  He handed me the latte, two free gift tickets, and apologized.  I thanked him for the tickets.  Back at the car I looked at the tickets.  Guess the next time we visit McD's, Whip gets a Big Mac.  I left a saucer on the counter.  I know better - just forgot.  Blitz jumped up and worried it over the edge.  It shattered when it hit the kitchen's tile floor.  Not the worst thing.  It's from my everyday dish set and I use mugs rather than cups for my coffee.   I was warned  my Amazon Prime membership was about to expire.  That was OK.  I'd ordered it by mistake anyway.  Couldn't resist  putting in a small order just to test one more time if Prime was any faster than non-Prime.  No, it isn't.  Of the things I ordered the earliest was estimated to arrive in two weeks.  So ... more of an interesting weekend than a bad one.
