Arrowheads
I should have heeded the warning not to take the foil off the stuff I had cooked in the microwave until it had cooled. The escaping steam burned the top of my thumb. The dead skin sloughed off leaving an oozing raw area. (Sorry if you were eating.) I just let it air but it kept reopening. Didn't worry too much about it until my brother-in-law Dan showed me a certificate of death that he had found for my great grandfather August Swanson from 1939. The cause of death was gangrene -- three days after his foot was amputated -- which all began w/ a stubbed toe. Decided it couldn't hurt to take my thumb issue a bit more seriously. My sister Connie gave me antiseptic cream and bandaids.
