Red Maple leaves

One line of the clothes line was filled with freshly laundered white socks.  I go through a lot of pair in a day.    I went out on the deck in the early morning (sans shoes) to get a photo of the rising sun, Dunder made a dash for the great out of doors.  It's easier to get him back inside if I pick him up immediately before he goes under the deck.  So I walked across the dewy grass, picked him up, and brought him back inside.  Took off those socks and put on a fresh pair.  Forcast was for afternoon rain so Whip and I went out early for our walk.  I wore canvas shoes that got wet in the dew and soaked that pair of socks.  When I got home, put on a new pair.  I had errands to do later so I took a shower.  I never put on the same clothes after a shower which means another pair of white socks.  No rain so I sat out on the deck in the afternoon.  I have this idea that toenails need sunlight occassionally so took my socks off, stuck them in my shoes, and let my tootsies bake.  Whip thought it would be great fun to grab a sock and go running w/ it.  I got both socks back but one had saliva all over it hence another pair of socks.  It's fortunate I buy socks in bulk - all white, ankle-length, cotton - and have a dedicated dresser drawer just for them.
