Town Planning Commission meeting tonight.  It was started up again when the Board wanted to look into having the town get out from under county zoning laws and make their own.  Technically the first meeting was last month but not much was actually accomplished at that meeting.  When the team got to the town hall they found someone had attempted to break into the building and the sheriff had to be contacted.    Tonight things went smoother.  We discussed a lot of topics including the liability the town would be taking on and we each have 'homework' to do before the next meeting.  Once the meeting was over I asked why the town would want to take on zoning.   Recently I'd found out there was an on-going situation w/ someone who is refusing to get a permit for their building project.  The county has issued him citations and will soon go to court to  have an injunction placed on any more building activity.  If the town takes over from the county, we would be stuck w/ resolving that kind of problem.   The team lead said all we are doing is putting together what the town would use for zoning rules.  It will be up to the town's people to vote on staying w/ the county or going on our own at the next Annual Meeting in the spring.
