Red-Winged Blackbird (female)

Chief Inspector training today.  In my state, to be certified as a Chief Inspector for an election you first need to take baseline training and then six hours of additional training every two years.  The trainer today went the full six hours and then some.   Most of the information we know but she did emphasize changes to the election process made in the last two years by the legislature.  Many of the rule changes make no sense to us here in the Northwoods.  Found out they were made to accommodate the more populous southern portion of the state.  Fine for the southern counties but tick off our northern voters when we ask them to do stuff that seems obvious.  For the final hour she broke us out into smaller groups to run through an exercise.  She assured us that these studies had been developed at Harvard and other institutions of higher learning.  After working in a corporate environment for years, that endorcement did not fill me w/ confidence however I participated  since I really wanted that certificate at the end of class.  The scenarios they presented were believable.    Plus I learned something - don't write the words 'stupid', 'vapid', 'idiot' and 'mentally-challenged' in the Inspector's Report (that's kind of a diary of what went on during election day) since these reports are available on-line for anyone who wants access.  (I will have to figure out less blatantly accurate terms to use.)  Those people still claiming there is wide-spread fraud in our elections, should have to serve as a poll worker for an election or two.
