Artwork

Phil had an idea for a triptych while he was here this summer.  He made the frames first and painted them black.  Then he went into the woods to look for white birch branches.  He could have gone for poplar and used their all white look.  Instead he wanted an authentic birch look starting w/ larger branches which have white bark and ending w/ the top twigs which, in a birch, are dark in color.  Takes looking at a lot of branches to find the right ones which could 'move' upward through the pictures and even spread out from the confine of the frames.  Fortunately, the woods here are full of birch.   Then came the problem of how to attach something so small and light to the frames in a secure manner.  Think he enjoyed the process of creating as much as his creation.  Luckily for me, he decided the best place to display his artwork was in Mjolnir.  Fits in perfectly there.

Very clever! That takes more creativity than one might think.
