Rain on Corn Leaf

Zoomed w/ some friends today.  One asked if we in the Northwoods have as much trouble getting service people to come to your home as they do in the South.  The answer is 'yes'.  However, for the moment, I have access to a General Contractor.  Late last year when my dishwasher died I had called the same plumbing company that had worked on Mjolnir.   The plumber said he would be out the next week to replace it but I didn't hear from him again.  I knew that the plumber had a health problem plus, as winter deepens, I get reluctant to make changes around the house.  However  the work needed to be done sooner or later so I asked Mike the Builder who he used as a plumber on jobs and Mike replied he used the same company.  So I called that plumber again.  Mike must have talked to him in between times because the plumber replied that, if it was OK w/ me, he'd be out the next day to do the work.  The old dishwasher has been removed and the new one is in place now.    Proof of the saying, 'It's all in who you know.'
