White Pine Candles

Library duty tonight.   Normally shifts are 4 hours but my late night one is only 2 hours at the desk.  I go in a little early for turnover from the afternoon volunteer and the librarian before they leave.  Tonight the librarian showed both of us a book w/ a small hole at the top of the pages.  Kinda looked like someone had poked a pencil a little way into the book.  The librarian said it was caused by a bookworm and the book would be immediately removed from the library.  Didn't see any insect remains and I guess I always thought a 'bookworm' was a person who liked to read.  The librarian also said she was making a new collection for adult graphic novels.  Graphic novels have caught on big w/ pre-teens and teens but I hadn't realized they were a 'thing' for adults.  Our library has only one so far - Stephen King's Sleeping Beauties.  Not sure I would want to read a horror story in comic book format.  Once they left, I put some books away, picked up requested books, stuffed bags w/ origami paper for the Summer Reading program, and cut up little notices of the library's current hours.  Also ran the month of May stats (left that on the librarian's chair) and changed out the notices for new books at the library for the month of July.   I was suppose to cut up paper to put next to the Suggestion Box but ran out of time.  Oh well, something for the morning volunteer to do.
