Spring Water
The door to the laundry room doesn't really latch. I'm not sure if it's always been that way or just in the winter when the house is very dry. The door swings shut on it's own so I might not have ever noticed. Whip has realized she could just push against the door w/ her nose and get inside. The laundry room is where I store her food, some of her treats, and, most importantly, she can get to the door of the utility room where the cats live. The utility room door does latch tightly so, while she can't get at the cats this way, she can listen to them come and go. (We all have our hobbies.) Her problem is that the laundry door swings shut behind her and she's now stuck in the dark. I recognize her stuck-in-the-laundry-room bark as a short intermittent yip - a lot like the chirp the smoke detector makes when the batteries are about to die. Sort of a "I could use some help here when you have the time". She's a very polite dog.
