Mulched Forest Floor

 Excerpts from the Sheriff's Report:

12:45 a.m. - Bond violation reported.  Determined an intoxicated woman had been asked to leave after cheating on her husband.

8:08 a.m. - Fully engulfed shed on fire with oxygen tanks exploding.

8:57 a.m. - Suspicious man with a beard on a bike, pulling a trailer.  Officer assisted the man with a ride to his home.

9:51 a.m. - Suspicious man looking like 'Fonzie' attempting to enter apartments.

10:07 a.m. - Report of a man being arrested after refusing to leave a store and slapping a woman.

Noon - Harassment by an ex-boyfriend who was unsure if he was still in a relationship.  [That would be a "no".]

2:06 p.m. - Report of a neighbor draining water onto a citizen's yard.  Determined a sump pump is pumping water away from the home, but the neighbor's land is lower.

2:12 p.m. - Harassment by individuals not wanting someone to start a business and take away free parking.

2:36 p.m. - Report of a motorist flipping off an officer.  Motorist apologized and given a verbal warning.

4:26 p.m. - Theft of a stimulus check reported.  Determined a citizen had given the check to her daughter so she wouldn't spend it.

4:35 p.m. - Fire alarm sounding at technical school.  Determined a vacuum kicking up a lot of dust set off the alarm.

7:00 p.m. - Harassment reported for neighbors looking under a citizen's door.  [In the Northwoods where we have freezing weather in the winter and bugs in the summer, how big is this gap under the door?]

7:05 p.m. - Report of a man swinging an ax.  

7:30 p.m. - Request to have a firearm removed from a residence.

4 Days Later:

5:29 p.m. - Returning two firearms to someone who is now sober.

10:15 p.m. - Suspicious person in dark clothing behind a vehicle.  Determined to have been a bear raiding a dumpster.
