Sunrise - February 12

Got the second shot of the COVID vaccine tonight.  The clinic called me a month ago for the first shot and at the same time set up an appointment for the second shot.  A friend had been sick (fever, headache, feeling like she had flu) the day after her second shot so I spent the day doing the normal stuff for today and tomorrow - just in case.   My timeslot was 6:25 p.m. and by the time I took off  for the clinic the dishes were washed, birdfeeders filled, clothes washed & put away, kitty box cleaned, the garbage put out for tomorrow's pickup, my togs set out, food in the fridge, coffee ready to go, and wood stacked in the fireplace.  When I went in for my first shot a month ago, the waiting room at the clinic was full.  Probably a combination of news reports of places running out of vaccine so we locals came early to get in line - and- the clinic working out procedures for vaccinations on this scale.   Tonight, for the second shot, the waiting room had only a few people.   The community now trusted that the clinic had vaccine enough for them.  Plus well-practiced nurses had streamlined the process.   I'd only finished filling out the one sheet questionnaire given to me at check-in when my name was called.  On my way home before 7:00.
